Onward Yankton will host a ribbon cutting July 28 at 5 p.m. to kick off Discover Downtown, a two-day event that encourages visitors to shop, eat, drink and tour available downtown properties.
The ribbon cutting will take place at Onward Yankton’s new downtown home, located at 104 West 3rd Street (formerly Books and Beans). The nonprofit organization purchased the downtown property as part of its efforts to bolster the community’s downtown economy and support local entrepreneurs and small business owners.
“We look forward to showing off our new space to community members and unveil our plans for the building,” said R.J. Rieger, president of Onward Yankton. “After the ribbon cutting, we encourage everyone to show their support for our local businesses and stay downtown to shop, eat and play.”
