Onward Yankton has unveiled a new website and visual identity, a move that reflects the organization’s maturation from a grassroots campaign seeking Yankton’s next big idea to a private nonprofit dedicated to making that idea come to life.
Onward Yankton’s new logo incorporates the colors of the organization’s three pillars – entrepreneurship, education and downtown – linked by a circular design that signifies unification. The logo, which was inspired by ideas from the Onward Yankton team, was designed by marketing committee members Daniel Filsinger and Kristen Hicks.
“We’re extremely excited to launch our new logo, which was created locally by two talented Onward Yankton team members,” said Tony Maibaum, vice president of Onward Yankton. “The new logo is a reflection of Onward Yankton’s transition from a small movement of inspired community members seeking progress to an officially-recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit that is helping inspire others to lend their talents in establishing a vibrant downtown, fostering education, creating meaningful jobs and improving quality of life for all community members.”
The launch of the new brand identity coincides with the debut of the new onwardyankton.com website. The new website aims to inform community members about Onward Yankton’s mission and core strategies, as well as serve as a resource for entrepreneurs, investors and community members.
“Onward Yankton has significantly evolved over a very short period of time, so the new website better reflects the mission of the organization,” Maibaum said. “We hope visitors are able to find information about ongoing projects, upcoming community events and resources for entrepreneurs and potential investors. We will also tell the stories of successful local businesses and emerging entrepreneurs, and hopefully inspire our community to unite and move Yankton forward.”
